About the Role
Own validation of Pluto's vehicle electrical and electronic systems — battery, powertrain, control units, charging, and connected vehicle technologies — through hands-on testing, CAN diagnostics, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Execute system-level validation for BMS, VCU, MCU, Motor Controller, HMI, and Telematics systems.
- Perform CAN-based diagnostics using tools such as BusMaster, CANalyzer, and Vector tools to validate messages, signals, and ECU communication.
- Validate charging systems through electrical, thermal, and functional testing across charging cycles.
- Conduct battery protection and safety validation in line with AIS-156 requirements.
- Perform OTA update and firmware flashing validation, including UDS-based diagnostics.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data using instrumentation and data logging tools.
- Lead root cause analysis for electrical failures and support field issue investigation and resolution.
- Maintain test reports, validation evidence, and documentation to support homologation and certification.
- Develop and maintain automated validation scripts and regression test frameworks using Python, CAPL scripting, and CAN-based tools.
- Support OBD-II diagnostics and communication validation.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of EV electrical & electronic architecture.
- Experience with CAN protocols, UDS, and OBD-II diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with BusMaster, CANalyzer/CANoe, and Vector toolchain.
- Proficiency in CAPL scripting and Python for test automation.
- Knowledge of battery systems, motor controllers, charging systems, and embedded ECUs.
- Familiarity with AIS-156 and automotive validation methodologies.
